Why I am Running For State Senate...
 Hello, I’m Matt Mulvey and I would be honored to serve in the Massachusetts State Senate on your behalf.
Over the past few years, I’ve been traveling around the South Shore listening to our neighbors talk about their concerns with our current senator, and how his votes don’t often match their interests, concerns and dreams for the future. I grew up in a family with seven brothers and sisters, and with parents who expected each of us to pitch in and be part of the solution to problems around the household. And, I believe my candidacy for State Senate will do this for our District.
For over 30 years, I’ve worked for local cities and towns, private industry, and have run my own successful small business. I’ve served on numerous local, state and regional boards. I’ve seen both sides of the challenges facing our community. I have a successful record of writing laws and regulations that make Massachusetts a safer place to live and work. My previous experience will allow me to jump right in to work on the many difficult issues that that face our community such as the spiraling costs of health care, traffic and public transportation, our state and town infrastructures, road conditions, energy policy, sick buildings, coastal flooding and our educational system.
I’m a life-long Massachusetts resident and have been one of your neighbors in this district for the past 17 years. I’ve volunteered along side you on behalf of worthwhile local charities and non-profit organizations. Your issues and concerns -- are my issues and concerns. I want to bring my experience to bear on every major problem we have in this district.
