Matt Mulvey Campaign Kick-Off Party - June 27, 2006... - A SUCCESS!

Matt Mulvey's Campaign Kick-Off Party was grand: thanks to all of you who volunteered, contributed or attended one of the best receptions Matt has ever had. Because of you, we are well on our way to victory.
The Matt Mulvey Kickoff was an overwhelming success. The Jackson Square Tavern was packed, and when Matt spoke, people stood in the back and spilled into the hallway. We had great food, musical entertainment, a multimedia slideshow, and an evening of speeches from people in the community. Matt handed out wooden train whistles to everybody (with Matt Mulvey for State Senate printed on them) and asked everybody to toot their whistle for the Matt Mulvey Special when they agreed with what he said. There were a lot of whistles last night.
Representative James Murphy gave an excellent testimony and endorsement to Matt, and 'looks forward to working with him in the state house'. The entire room cheered.
From a fundraising standpoint, it was an excellent night for us as well - a very big financial boost for the campaign. We received many contributions -- just what we needed at this stage in the campaign. We will soon be posting photos, video and commentary from the event - and making plans for the West Roxbury event in a few weeks, which we hope will be even bigger and better. Hope to see all of you there too. -- Thanks, again.

Come to the Matt Mulvey Campaign Kick-off Party at the Jackson Square Tavern in Weymouth on June 27, 2006 and help elect a true leader for the Massachusetts State Senate. Matt will be speaking about the issues facing the Plymouth-Norfolk district, as well as his positions on major policies that affect the entire Commonwealth. Food and drink at the Jackson Square Tavern are excellent - so be sure to bring your appetite and some campaign cheer! There will be several VIP guests as well as candidates for other local offices present - in addition to Matt's family and the Matt Mulvey Campaign Committee members.
We need your financial help! Suggested contributions are $50/$100/$250/$500. Please bring a check with you, and we can take care of filling out paperwork with you at the Campaign Kick-Off check-in desk. Thanks so much for your support.
